Docs For Education is growing, and learning that there is genuine interest regarding life inside the Islamic culture, especially on the life of women inside the Muslim world.

What better then to bring to you Badal, another film by renown Israeli-Arab filmmaker Ibtisam Maraana, whose film Lady Kul El-Arab we showcased last month.

'A Badal deal marriage' usually means when a brother and sister from one family marry a sister and brother from another family - interlocking the two couples for ever. In this film Um Waji (Ibtisam's aunt) is trading an unusual deal. A bride for her widowed son while giving away his 21 year daughter.
